A car chase video has gone viral on social media recently, showing a group of motorcyclists pursuing a grey Nissan Almeia across the Batu Caves town, Selangor.
The video, shared by the X account @AsalGombak garnered over 449,100 views and more than 2,600 reposts in under 12 hours.
Based on the caption, the vehicle pursuit was allegedly due to the driver and passenger of the Almera not paying for cendol at a stall.
In the 2-minute-19-second video, the car can be seen dangerously driving through the streets of Batu Caves town and even on the highway, nearly crashing into other vehicles multiple times.
The car itself looked like it has suffered damages, including having a missing rear bumper, scratches on the side and a broken side-mirror. It is unknown whether the damages were from the car chase or was already there previously.
Furthermore, the chasing motorcyclists also manoeuvred the road dangerously in the pursuit of the vehicle, with at least a couple of them not wearing helmets.
The car chase finally ended when one of the motorcyclists managed to overtake the car and blocked it. Parked in the middle of the road, the motorcyclists then confronted the car’s driver and passenger right as the video ended.
However, based on the X post’s caption, the driver allegedly ran away after the car was stopped.
