WATCH: Motorcyclist Pulls Out Knife to Rob Ipoh Bank ATM Users, Has a Record of 19 Robberies So Far

Going to an ATM has always been a risky situation unless if it is in a crowded place during the day time.

But hey, even then, there are still risks, right?

The Santan Piyoo TikTok page recently shared CCTV footage of a thief pulling a knife from his pants in an attempt to steal from the people using the ATMs at a bank in Ipoh.

They wrote, “Assalamualaikum and greetings. (This is a) search for a suspect. This is a general notice.”

“Tracking procedures are underway for a suspect involved in 19 ATM robbery cases around Ipoh. The suspect is a decently dressed Malay man, he uses a blue Honda Dash motorcycle. He was wearing a gray or dark coloured helmet. The suspect’s registration number is constantly changing.”

In the video, the suspect can be seen arriving outside of the bank before entering with his helmet still on. After approaching the ATMs, the suspect suddenly pulled out a knife from his pants and used it to threaten 2 ATM users.

The security guard, who was sitting in the corner, then ran to the door, opened it and called for the robber to leave.

As the security guard went further out of the bank, the robber followed him out before leaving on his bike, empty handed.

“If you find a motorcyclist riding a blue Honda Dash and wearing a gray helmet, please stop, so an inspection and notify DCC (District Control Centre) and the authorities. Appreciation will be given to anyone who succeeds in tracking the suspect,” Santan Piyoo added.

We’re so happy that no one got hurt in the ordeal and we genuinely do hope that the robber is swift caught and brought to justice.
