It’s Day 20 of the Movement Control Order and Malaysians are starting to adapt to the quarantine better and better. Despite most businesses being closed, we can still adjust as essential businesses such as restaurants and grocery shops are still open.

As we’re all aware that when everyone is quarantined to their houses, this might be the perfect time to do some repairs or finish any pending home improvement projects. Not only that, one netizen pointed out that hardware shops are necessary because you never know what can happen and tools are needed for an emergency. Responding to netizens pleas, Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat released a statement saying that in line with Malaysian National Security Council (MKN), certain services have been allowed to open BUT only twice a week.

 - WORLD OF BUZZ

The days which these stores are allowed to open are Monday and Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm. The list of services that are allowed to open are:

1. Fertilizer/Pesticide stores

2. Hardware stores

3. Pet food stores

4. Vehicle spare part stores

Kudos to the government for thinking about the services that people still need during the MCO. We hope netizens use the given times appropriately and get their needs. Please remember to NOT panic buy and hoard!

We have a question, does this mean MR.DIY will finally be open?
