Recently, news of American celebrities returning millions worth of items to the US government went viral. Leonardo DiCaprio handed over assets that were gifts from Jho Low and even Miranda Kerr has given up loads of jewelleries.
Miranda Kerr reportedly returned about RM40 million in jewelleries to the Department of Justice (DoJ). They were gifts to her from businessman Jho Low who bought them using 1MDB money when they were dating back in 2014.
Needless to say, many people went wild! Firstly, let’s all try to digest the news of Jho Low and Miranda Kerr ever dating. Well, no money, no honey right?
Secondly, people are now looking forward to MORE assets being returned to the Department of Justice (DoJ), particularly from Malaysian Official 1’s (MO1) wife. Ahem, ahem.
According to Malaysiakini, DAP’s parliamentary leader, Lim Kit Siang had something to say about this issue as he released a statement that read,
“With DiCaprio and Kerr handing over their multi-million US dollar gifts from Jho Low to the DOJ, all eyes are now on the wife of MO1.”
Everyone is hoping the MO1’s wife will cooperate well with DoJ like how Miranda Kerr and Leonardo DiCaprio did.
“If FAMOUS people can give up their Oscar award and jewelleries, then (MO1’s wife) should also give up all her Hermès handbags and the massive ring.”
No one in Malaysia actually named this MO1 and his wife but every Malaysian sorta knows who this power couple is.
Meanwhile, international news portals have not stopped equating the MO1 and his wife to our beloved Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.
However, the supreme leader and his missus have strongly denied such slanderous allegations.
How dare you try to divide the nation by putting a bad light on our favourite couple?!
Currently, DoJ is still looking to freeze and confiscate more assets amounting up to about RM7.3 billion, which were reportedly bought using the 1MDB money.
Do you think she will return her gifts soon?
