For SPM 2023, more than 11,000 students scored straight A’s in the exam, with about 10,000 students skipping the papers for various reasons. This year, the number of students who did not sit for SPM 2024 remains somewhat similar.
According to the Ministry of Education, Fadhlina Sidek said that the Ministry is currently in the process of updating as there is a gap of approximately 10,000 SPM 2024 candidates who have not confirmed their attendance.
“The attendance currently stands at 97%, so this is a good sign.”
Astro Awani reported that Fadhlina said the Ministry is always ready to help students affected by floods or other disasters.
“We are prepared to activate Op Payung once again, and the states at risk for flood have already been identified, and so far, everything is under control.”
The six states identified as flood risks are Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Pahang, Johor, and Sabah.
SPM 2024 commenced on December 2, 2024, and is expected to end on February 6, 2025.
