Melaka is Offering FREE ENTRY for River Cruise, 360° Tower, Water Theme Park, Zoo & More This 20 Feb!

One of the most popular travel destinations in the whole of Malaysia has got to be Melaka thanks to its rich history and cultural diversity, including the many heritage buildings and ancient landmarks dating back to the days of Parameswara and subsequent Portuguese colonialism.

Nowadays, there are many tourist attractions and activities in the state which are a must-visit, especially in the Bandar Hilir area. These include the Melaka River Cruise, Menara Taming Sari 360-degree tower, Zoo Melaka and Bird Park, the various museums and more.

Melaka is offering free entries for 10 iconic tourist activities

Well, if you’re planning to visit Melaka sometime soon, we suggest you visit on 20 February 2024 (Tuesday), as the Melaka State Government is offering FREE ENTRY to Malaysians for 10 of the most iconic tourist activities and places in the state!

Announced by Tourism Melaka through its official Facebook page, the free entry is in conjunction with the public holiday for the remembrance of the Federation of Malaya’s independence on that day.

Hence, for one day only, entry will be free for these tourist activities and places in Melaka:

Melaka River Cruise

The Melaka River Cruise will be offering free river cruises for all Malaysians at the Quayside Jetty, Taman Rempah Jetty and Pengkalan Rama Jetty from 9am to 5pm on 20 February 2024.

Menara Taming Sari

The Menara Taming Sari 360-degree tower will be offering free entry for all Malaysians from 9am to 5pm.

Melaka Museum & Gallery

The Melaka Museum and Gallery, which is under the Melaka Musem Corporation (PERZIM) is also offering free entry on 20 February 2024, from 9am to 5pm. 

Melaka Zoo & Bird Park

The free entry to the Melaka Zoo & Bird Park on 20 February 2024 is on a first come, first serve basis and involves 2 separate sessions. 

The first session is from 10am to 12.30pm while the second session is from 2pm to 3.30pm. 

 

Al-Khawarizmi Observatory

Similarly, the Al-Khawarizmi Observatory is also allowing Malaysians to enter for free on 20 February form 9am to 5pm. 

 

Melaka Wonderland Theme Park & Resort

The free entry at Melaka Wonderland Theme Park & Resort on 20 February 2024 is only for its water theme park, from 9am to 5pm.

Furthermore, Malaysians also have the chance to see the “Luna Lights Wonderland” at the theme park from 7pm to 11pm.

 

Melaka Marine Park

The Melaka Marine Park is also offering free entry, with various activities to do such as scuba diving, underwater photography, island hopping, snorkelling and more at Pulau Nangka, Pulau Undan and Pulau Dodol. 

Do note that only entry is free, the other activities are subject to separate fees. 

 

5 golf clubs in Melaka

Besides that, 5 golf clubs in Melaka are also offering no green fees for golfers on 20 February 2024 but only an RM65/person fee for an 18-hole round. Do note that this rate is not inclusive of buggy fee, admin fee, insurance and government tax.

 

Melaka Prison Department Museum

Free entry to the Melaka Prison Department Museum on 20 February 2024 is open to both Malaysians and foreigners, from 9am to 4.30pm. 

 

Melaka Heritage Studios

The Malaysia Heritage Studios is offering free entry on 20 February 2024 from 10am to 6pm, with the free tickets only available at the Malaysia Heritage Studios counter.
