Today finally marks the day that the highly-anticipated ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ hits theatres here in Malaysia, and it’s certain that millions of fans from all over the world are flooding cinemas to find out what happens in the epic conclusion of Marvel’s 10-year long cinematic experiment.
However, two posts that have recently been circulating on Facebook have alleged that a hiccup went down at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) One Utama this morning (24th April), during one of the movie’s first screenings.
The 7am screening of ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ reportedly experienced a delay of almost 1 hour due to technical difficulties that occurred at GSC’s Atmos Hall, causing some early cinema-goers to grow impatient and argue with the staff. Cinema staff then told customers that they would be receiving a refund due to the unexpected inconvenience.
One post revealed that the cinema manager provided a refund and three movie tickets for free. A translated excerpt from their post reads,
“Please understand the struggle of those who made advanced bookings and have waited so long to see this movie. A full refund and free tickets cannot make up for that. This should not have happened!”
