The suspect was arrested after 3 years

After three years on the run, a man linked to the murder of Farrah Emirah Mazlan was finally arrested by the General Operations Force (PGA) along Jalan Bukit Lata on July 23 (Wednesday).

The 24-year-old suspect, Zulhakimy Aiman Suhairuddin, also known as Aimay, was apprehended at around 7PM, according to Sinar Harian.

Pasir Mas District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed, said that during the initial interrogation, Aimay denied firing the shot that killed the woman, as well as any involvement in the case.

“The suspect denied any connection to the incident. However, further investigations will be carried out once a remand order is obtained,” he added.

Another suspect was arrested

Kama Azural added that another 24-year-old man was also arrested during the raid.

Background checks revealed that the said suspect had a prior criminal record related to drugs.

“A body search on both suspects did not uncover any illegal items. However, urine tests confirmed that both tested positive for methamphetamine,” he said.
