Some people tend to keep their hair long in the name of fashion. For a man in India, he has been keeping his hair long and uncut for many years, but we’re not talking about the hair on his scalp.
Anthony Victor, who is a retired headmaster has been growing his ear hair as long as he can. He even made his name in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest ear hair back in 2007 and despite the “achievement”, he continues to let his ear hair grow.
If you refer to the image above, his hair sprouts from the center of his outer ears, and the hair measures 18.1 cm at its longest point. For that, his pupils and the staff of the school have been calling him the ear-haired teacher.
According to a recent Facebook post by Guinness World Records, Anthony’s record since 2007 remains unbroken. By looking at the images, we wonder how uncomfortable it can be to keep such long ear hair, and how does the old man clean his ears?
Not only that, but Anthony is apparently not the only man who keeps his ear hair uncut.
Before Anthony, there was Tyagi
Before the retired headmaster was recognised as the man with the longest ear hair, another man from Bhopal, India, held the record for his 10.2 cm long ear hair. BBC reported that there was a third man, Narayan Prasad Pal who claimed that he has 13 cm long ear hair. Guinness Book Records, however, did not confirm the fact about Narayan’s ear hair.
The world is full of bizarre events and records, but we certainly have never thought of seeing a record of longest ear hair. What are the other bizarre things that you have seen on the internet or during your travel?
