If we have the budget, we’ll always opt for something brand new, instead of a used item, or in today’s term – ‘pre-loved’.
A man in China recently bought his dream car – a Lamborghini, for which he spent RMB 1.7 million (approximately RM1.09 million) on the 2nd-hand luxury car as a reward for his hard work over the years. If only he had checked the background of the car before spending that amount of cash, he could’ve avoided the heartbreak that he is experiencing now.
When the man was handling the insurance of the car recently, he found out that the Lamborghini has gone through changes in ownership of a total of 15 times!
According to Zig Wheels, the price of a Lamborghini in Malaysia starts from RM1 million and goes up to RM2.27 million, depending on the variant that you have in mind.
According to a post on Weibo, the man was utterly devastated to find out about the status of his car. He double-checked with the dealer about the status of the car and he was told that the Lamborghini had only 4 changes in ownership.
Well, there is a huge gap between 4 and 15!
Feeling scammed, the man went back to the car dealer and asked for compensation, which amounted to RMB100,000 (approximately RM64,000). Unfortunately, things did not go the way he wanted and the car dealer justified his decision not to entertain the man’s request.
“We have never made any promises to the buyer in terms of the number of previous ownerships.”
“Congratulations, Sir, for being the 15th owner of your Lamborghini.”
“Well, I can’t even afford a toy car.”
“You can’t even count the number of ownerships with 2 hands.”
If you happen to find yourself in a similar situation, would you ask for compensation?
