A man wearing a cartoon costume was arrested after allegedly committing physical sexual harassment against a six-year-old girl at a playground in Pantai Irama last Thursday.
According to Kosmo!, Bachok District Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Azrie Sulaiman, said the 36-year-old suspect is believed to have committed the act around 6:20 PM.
The suspect, who was dressed in a cartoon costume, allegedly harassed the victim while she was playing near the beach.

āThe incident was also recorded by a member of the public who was at the scene,ā he said.
āThe victim was found to have no physical injuries after being taken to the hospital for a medical examination,ā he added.

Mohd Azrie also stated that a urine screening revealed the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine and has several prior criminal records.
He added that the man has been remanded for seven days until next Thursday to assist with further investigations under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
