On July 19 (Saturday), a man’s attempted robbery at a clinic failed after he fumbled while trying to flee on a motorcycle.
The incident happened around 7 PM at Taman Megah Ria, Seri Alam, Pasir Gudang, according to Guang Ming Daily.

The suspect accidentally discharged his gun
During the incident, the suspect attempted to rob a clinic but left empty-handed.
While trying to flee, he fell to the ground and accidentally discharged his weapon, with the gunshot echoing through the neighbourhood and alerting nearby residents.
A female doctor from the clinic ran to a nearby shop to seek help. According to her, the man had entered the clinic, pulled out a gun, claimed he “needed help,” and then demanded money.
Surveillance footage from the adjacent shop, which had security cameras, later showed the suspect scrambling to escape and falling in the process.

The doctor’s husband fought the robber, thinking the gun was fake
The doctor’s husband, who was at the scene, reportedly engaged in a scuffle with the robber, believing the firearm displayed was fake. Although the suspect did not use the weapon during the encounter, he eventually fled the scene.
The doctor’s husband sustained minor injuries during the struggle.
The police later confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect had demanded cash from the victim and fired a shot outside the premises before escaping on a motorcycle.
Authorities added that the case is currently being investigated under the Firearms (Heavier Penalties) Act 1971.
