A security guard lost his life following a violent altercation that reportedly began with a simple reprimand in a residential area in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, early Sunday morning (5 April).
According to Northern Klang District Police Chief S. Vijaya Rao, the incident occurred at 1 AM while the 40-year-old victim was carrying out routine patrol duties at a guardhouse. The situation escalated after the victim approached a man who was drinking with friends, leading to a misunderstanding between them.

The disagreement quickly turned into a physical confrontation, during which the victim was allegedly attacked with a blunt object. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Hospital Shah Alam for emergency treatment, Vijaya said in an official statement.
Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at 4:18 AM while receiving treatment
Police later acted on information received and, at around 10 AM, successfully tracked down and arrested a local man in his 40s in the Bukit Raja area to assist with the investigation. Authorities also seized an iron car-locking bar believed to have been used in the attack, according to reports by Harian Metro and Sinar Harian.

Preliminary checks revealed that the suspect has a criminal history, including eight prior offences, two of which are drug-related. He is reported to work as a construction supervisor and is currently being remanded as investigations continue.
