Speaking on her win to International World Games Association, Nicol David said,

“It came as a surprise to see me amongst these other top athletes and I’m grateful for this … hopefully it can elevate attention for the future of Squash, and it’s a proud moment to represent my country and Asia.”

In addition to that, the IWGA President José Perurena also said that Nicol David is an inspirational athlete and a fine role model for younger athletes, according to the press statement.

Many Malaysians are celebrating Nicol David’s win today and this includes PM Muhyiddin who has taken to Facebook to talk about it.

“To the younger generation, please take Nicol’s success as motivation to go further.”

This win is certainly one that is well-deserved and we would like to extend our congratulations to Datuk Nicol David!
