The TV Pertiwi X page recently showcased a video of Ridhuan Tee, a preacher and author, as he shares his disappointment over the government providing funds to Chinese private schools when these schools often receive funds from private entities such as private companies as well as parents of students.

TV Pertiwi wrote, “Professor Dr Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah is disappointed over the government’s continued aid to Chinese private schools. The Deputy President of Muafakat Nasional said that the schools in question should not receive government aid because they are already equipped with facilities financed by private funds.”

In the video taken from his speech during the Forum Belanjawan 2025 at the Dewan Majlis Perundingan Melayu in KL on Sunday (September 29), he said that even schools such as MRSM cannot compare with how well-funded Chinese private schools are.

“Don’t compare them with our secondary schools. Compare them with full-time boarding schools such as Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM). I am confident that we cannot compete with (Chinese private schools). These schools are so strong in terms of facilities and financial aid,” he said.

Unhappy with his statement, many Malaysians took to the post to call him out.

“I am disappointed that there are citizens like this.”

Funds 2

“Malaysia must avoid having leaders like this.”

Funds 4

“He is a Chinese person with no self awareness, wanting to be more Malay than the Malays.”

Funds 3

“He can be arrested at this point, he is going overboard as every day, he is bringing up issues that can cause disharmony among the people. I request that PDRM monitor people like this before the country goes into chaos.”
