As the general election looms ever closer, Malaysians are uniting to help educate others on the voting process. Some have even gotten into making livestreams to help educate the rakyat on parliament and its inner workings.

Recently, political activist and artist Fahmi Reza has been using his TikTok account to do livestreams where he helps to educate the rakyat on issues related to the electoral process.

He recently shared a clip on Twitter of his livestream where he explained the functions of parliament.

In his explanation, Fahmi said, “Parliament is the place where multiple things happen“.

These include, debates on the budget, to scrutinise the government, the voice out the concerns of the rakyat and more.

He ended his detailed explanation on how bills are made into laws by asking whether or not it is possible for the rakyat to also be involved in the passing of laws.

“If all lecturers were like this, everyone is guaranteed an A”

Fahmi’s clip has gone viral on Twitter and currently sits on over 24,100 views and 1,854 likes at the time of writing. Plenty of netizens praised him for his creative, simple but detailed explanation on a complex topic.

“Would’ve been great to have a teacher like this. But no, all of the ones we have just read from the text book.”

“Good content and easy to understand. Good job and please do more of these to help share to people out there,” commented a user.
