Taking to Facebook, Khairy Jamaluddin shared an update of what took place during his spot-check at Klinik Kesihatan Dengkil, Selangor only to find out how overcrowded it was.
In his status update, KJ writes: “During my spot-check at Klinik Kesihatan Dengkil, I commend them on a job well done, but also found that the clinic was congested, had a long waiting time and there was not enough parking spaces.”
In response he approved the expansion of the clinic to better serve people there.
“I quickly approved the expansion of the clinic to better serve the Mother and Child department, and, include the purchase of an ultrasound and a biochem machine.”
“A lot of investments will be made to raise healthcare services to the people.”
Agreeing that the expansion is nothing more than a short-term solution, KJ adds: “Dengkil needs another clinic. A new clinic is in the pipeline.”
Netizen Khairul Zainal responded to the Facebook update, stating that a new clinic needs to be built.
“The staff here is the best. Very attentive. My only concern is this. For new mothers, climbing up the hill leading to the clinic has its risks.”
“A new clinic is needed. I think they have identified a suitable location for it.”
Let’s hope that more spot-checks will be carried out in the future, as a means to help improve our healthcare.
