Malaysians who have yet to get themselves vaccinated will soon be able to do so via drive-through. This great news was announced earlier today by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin after a successful drive-through vaccination pilot project at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Kubang Kerian.
During the press conference, he also mentioned that further details about the drive-through process will be shared tomorrow (31 May 2021). During the press conference which occurred when he went to inspect the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), which is Malaysia’s largest Covid-19 vaccination centre to date, he said,
“Other states have also asked permission to start the drive-through, so I will give the instructions tomorrow following the successful drive-through piloting in USM Kubang Kerian. But I just requested for 24 hours to set the guidelines because there need to be safety guidelines in place for the drive-through vaccination.”

Hopefully, when the drive-through vaccination process begins, more and more people will be able to get themselves vaccinated safely within their own vehicle without having to expose themselves to the public.
