The Premier League Malaysia action between Kelantan FC and Perak FC at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, reached new heights after Kelantan FC supporters were seen raging following the team’s 1-2 defeat.

Based on a report by Berita Harian, Perak FC supporters were ordered to enter the field and were not allowed to leave the stadium after the final whistle over the other team’s supporters’ antics.

In fact, even the players were asked to ‘take shelter’ in the middle of the stadium to avoid unwanted situations.

Outside the stadium, the bus believed to have been carrying Perak FC players was also attacked with water bottles and stones by Kelantan FC supporters, and was left with shattered and broken windows.

Videos of the incident have since been circulating social media, showcasing Kelantan FC supporters throwing objects at the people taking shelter in the middle of the field and rioting outside the stadium.

Can we really call ourselves civilised if this is how we react to a loss in a football match?
