Giving gifts to your teachers after acing your Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams is a great way to show how much you appreciate their help. But in this case, this teacher must have really meant a lot to the students for them to go the extra mile and give him a gift of a lifetime!
In a recent video shared by @izzhuznie / @izzhuznieidraqie a group of students visited their teacher’s home to give him a gift as a token of appreciation for his guidance and support.
14 out of 19 of his students got an A for his subject!
In the video, the students are seen carrying a brand new TV, a gift for their teacher in celebration of their A grades in the SPM exams.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Sir Izz, an MPV Landscaping & Nursery teacher from SMK Tunku Panglima Besar Kulim in Kedah, shared that out of his 19 students who sat for the SPM exams, 14 achieved an A in the subject.
“I have 19 students in total, with 14 of them getting A, 4 B+, and 1 C+ in the subject,” he said.
The students have a really good bond with him
Sir Izz went on to share that SMK Tunku Panglima Besar Kulim is the 3rd school he has taught at, and this is his 3rd year teaching there.
He also revealed that he has a very close relationship with his students, who often visit him at home. Their bond is so strong that they even have lunch together at school.
“Another thing is that I often eat with them during breaks. I cook and bring my own food, and we’d always sit and eat together.”
He received a brand new TV on the same day the SPM results were announced
Sir Izz noted that on the day the SPM results were released, it coincidentally marked his 13th anniversary as a teacher. On that very day, one of his students reached out to ask if he was home.
“They’ve visited my house many times and know my TV has issues. When it’s turned on, only audio plays with a pitch-black screen,” he explained.
Having owned the TV for a while, he wasn’t surprised by its issues. It was this situation that inspired his students to surprise him with a brand new TV.
