K-pop has certainly taken the world by storm and now, many youngsters from around the world are holding on to hope that they will be the next K-Pop superstar.
Recently, Singapore Raffles Music College announced that they will be collaborating with the prestigious School of Performing Arts (SOPA) for a K-pop high school program.
SOPA is well-known for producing many top idols such as BTS’ Jungkook, IVE’s Won Young, Exo’s Kai and many more.
This program will be open to South-East Asians, “primarily Singapore, and offer them specialised K-pop education”, reported The Straits Times.
Students from South Korea who want to study in Singapore will also be considered.
It is also said that the classes for the program will be conducted fully in English to accommodate all students from diverse backgrounds. These classes will also be led by SOPA faculty members who are “leading practitioners in the K-pop industry.”
In their Instagram post, SRMC added that this program will allow individuals to create a unique identity where K-pop is blended with South-East Asian influences.
