JUST IN: Open-Micer Siti Nuramira Re-Arrested After Crowdfunding RM40,000 Bail

Recently, viral news circulated online about an open-micer for insulting Islam at a comedy club.

When she was arrested, she spent 2 days in the police lock-up and was allowed bail. The bail was set at RM20,000 and after a crowdfunding shoutout to the public, she was just released today.

However, according to NST, as soon as she was released, she was re-arrested by the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).

It was said that the authorities were waiting for her right outside of the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex.

She will be charged under Syariah Law at the Syariah high court tomorrow, with confirmations from counsels Ramesh, N.P. Chandran and R. Sivaraj.

Her court case mention is currently set on August 18 and is facing 5-years imprisonment if found guilty.
