Today (2nd April), Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has said that the decision to extend the Movement Control Order will be on the Ministry of Health in a livestream, reported The Star.

“If the people comply with the MCO and other orders by the authorities, I believe that the curve will not just flatten but will see a decline.

“However, there must be strict compliance before this can happen. We will leave it to the Health Ministry to decide whether there is a need to extend the order.”

Other than that, he has also reminded the public that anyone who enters the country from 3rd April onwards will be quarantined, even if they are non-citizens. He continued and said that after the immigration checkpoints, those entering the country will be put into buses heading to quarantine centres and the people will remain there for 14 days.

The following two weeks are really crucial in order for us to break the chain. To make sure that the MCO is a success and the time we have spent is not wasted, please, stay at home and practice social distancing!
