Our Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin just announced in his press conference that the Movement Control Order will be extended until the 12th of May. However, certain companies in specific sectors will be allowed to operate subject to compliance with employee safety, social incarceration and workplace hygiene.
Subsequently, the government will consider opening up other sectors and sub-sectors subject to stringent requirements. This is to ensure that the company remains competitive and that the employees can continue to work in a safe environment.
Detailed guidelines and conditions will be given to investors and the corporate sector to start their respective companies’ operations.
