According to the Ministry of Health, there are 147 new cases in Malaysia today (23 September) bringing the total number of cases to 10,505.
Of the 147 cases, 143 are local cases and four are import cases. A majority of the additional cases have been recorded in Sabah.

Eight patients are placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with two patients needing respiratory assistance.
39 cases have been discharged today bringing the total number of patients discharged since February 2020 to 9,563.
Three additional death cases were also recorded today, bringing the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Malaysia to 133 cases.
These latest numbers should indicate that we need to accept the new normal by maintaining good hygiene and practising physical distancing at all times.
