In his press conference today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that husbands and wives who have been living apart from each other have been requesting permission to travel interstate to meet their families.

Thus, after a meeting with MKN, he announced that long-distance husbands and wives can travel interstate starting from tomorrow (27 January) to meet their families. However, they will need to seek approval from PDRM before they embark on their journey. If there’s an emergency or death, you will be granted permission immediately.

If any one of them is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, they will be advised to seek treatment or get swab-tested before they travel. The best option would be to not travel until the symptoms they face subside.
