The Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) has taken immediate action against an organiser’s representative in Johor over issues involving their business goods.

MBPG said inspections were carried out, and follow-up action was taken after a public complaint went viral about business items being left inside drains in the Bandar Seri Alam area.

Pasir Gudang City Council issues warning notice to organiser’s representative after business goods found in drain

Taking to its Facebook page, MBPG said checks found that the location is a licensed bazaar site in the area, managed by an appointed organiser.

Several photos shared in the post showed business items left at the site, which raised cleanliness concerns. The enforcement department later issued a warning notice to the organiser’s representative yesterday (22 February) as a reminder to comply with the set rules and conditions.

According to the notice, an inspection found that they had placed or left business-related items in a public area, causing unclean conditions and public nuisance.

“As such, they are instructed to address the above issues within one day from the date this letter is issued. Failing to comply within the given period, appropriate action will be taken,” the notice stated.

“Follow-up checks will be conducted to ensure the instructions are followed”

Additionally, MBPG’s Licensing Department informed the organiser about the issue that surfaced and instructed them to ensure proper cleanliness and site management.

They added that follow-up checks will be carried out to make sure the instructions are followed, the area stays clean, and the public drainage system is not affected.

“We take all matters involving cleanliness, safety, and public well-being seriously and will not compromise on any breach of the set conditions.

“MBPG also appreciates the public’s vigilance in sharing information and remains committed to ensuring that bazaar sites and public areas are properly managed and kept orderly,” they said.
