With the world going into a social distancing phase due to the Covid-19 pandemic, various countries have their takes in enforcing safe distance among people in public to decrease the risk of infection.

A cafe in a Japan zoo got creative and placed capybara plush toys on the seats to encourage patrons to practise social distancing. What the cafe did was CUTE AF and our hearts could not take it!

Twitter user Spoon & Tamago (@Johnny_suputama) shared this adorable scene, explaining why the zoo would use capybara plush toys. Despite the animal being native to South America, Izu Shaboten Zoo in Shizuoka is being credited as the first to introduce the animals to hot baths in 1987.

Other than fluffy capybara plush toys, the cafe also used red pandas and giraffe plush toys to keep patrons two metres apart!

Let’s take a look at these extremely adorable capybaras chilling and hanging at a cafe!

It’s like having a date with these plush toys and admin totally would not mind dining here alone!

Izu Shaboten Zoo had also shared a couple of photos onto their Twitter, showing how social distancing could be associated with joy despite people being physically separated.

Izu Shaboten Zoo also revealed that the perfect two-metre distance equates the length of two capybaras (and six fennecs).

Besides feeling amused by the cafe setup, we’re also glad to see that social distancing has managed to bring joy to many!
