GE15 is only a few days away, and the intensity is even stronger. These last few days are the only opportunities left for politicians to go around on campaigns and gain votes from the rakyat.
Barisan Nasional’s Jamal Yunos recently came across some banners from Pakatan Harapan which are hung publicly in Sekinchan, and he’s not a fan of what he had to see. The banners are all in Chinese words, and here’s what they mean.
“Save Malaysia. If Jamal wins, the rakyat will be in danger.”
‘If you don’t come out and vote, Zahid Hamidi will be the next Prime Minister.”
“The future of your children is of utmost importance. Don’t vote for the wrong party. Vote for Pakatan Harapan!”
It may be Pakatan Harapan’s strategy to gain the trust of the folks in Sungai Besar and Sekinchan, but one thing is for sure, Jamal dubbed it “insulting and disgusting”.
“Here’s my manifesto. Your move, PH”
In his Facebook post this morning (November 15), Jamal, who is contesting in Sungai Besar, Selangor, took the time to present what he has in mind for the folks in town if he wins. He plans to focus on 5 main things to help the people in the area, namely,
- Education
- Health
- Economy
- Infrastructure
- Youth
Jamal then assured the people that his manifesto is for ALL, regardless of their background and race.
“I’m skin-colour blind. My promises are meant for folks of Sungai Besar. Your race doesn’t matter”, he said.
However, Jamal has a question that baffled him. While campaigning around town, he has yet to see the manifesto and promises from Pakatan Harapan for the people in Sungai Besar.
“Rakyat wants to see improvement, not defamation. I keep my promises.”
A police report about the banners has since been lodged, and at the end of his post, Jamal sarcastically (and subtly) “reminded” the people to look for Pakatan Harapan if they ever need ideas to defame others with “disgusting banners”.
“That’s where the defamation starts”, he said.
Do you think Jamal is overreacting on the banners, or do you think PH’s move on is uncalled for?
