A Malaysian influencer recently admitted that the “health product” he had been selling is merely a juice and an additional drink, and cannot cure multiple illnesses as he previously overclaimed.
The influencer, Faiz Soul, faced backlash after asserting that his product was safe for people with various medical conditions, including diabetes, claiming that the apple cider vinegar it contained could help reduce blood sugar levels.

Faiz also commented on TikTok, advising a mak cik with kidney issues to take two spoonfuls of the product every morning.
He issued an apology last night (19 December) following online backlash, admitting that he had exaggerated the benefits of the juice based on testimonials he found online.
“It’s registered under the Ministry of Health (MOH) and certified halal by JAKIM.”
In his apology video posted on Threads, Faiz explained that his product is a mixture of pomegranate, dates, and ginger, likening it to extract juices sold publicly. He also pointed out that the product was manufactured at a factory in Kedah and involved a chemist with qualifications in Food Technology and Chemistry.
The influencer claimed that the juice is registered under the Food Product Classification with the MOH and is certified halal by JAKIM.

“I apologise to the netizens and the medical experts for this matter.”
Faiz, who only graduated with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), also apologised for his recent remarks about degree holders, asking, “How much have they contributed to society?” The remarks came after criticism of Faiz being invited to officiate an award ceremony at a secondary school in Kedah.
At the end of his clip, Faiz said he may pursue his education to a higher level.
