Former Prime Minister Najib Razak has A LOT on his plate right now. With another 25 charges for the 1MDB trial staring at him, Najib is expected to work hard on his appeal for the court’s decision.

In a time of crisis, Najib can’t help but reflect on the people who have always been there for him – the true friends.

In his recent Facebook post, Najib spilt his emotions about the people who never left him, even at possibly the hardest time of his life now.

“It’s hard to find true friends these days. Those who show up are not necessarily your friends. Some just need something from you. The world is full of two-faced people.”

Despite the tough time, Najib does his best to remain optimistic and take it as a lesson. Amidst the bitterness, the former PM finds “a drop of sweetness” and gratitude. In his post, Najib expressed his gratitude towards the people who came to the court to show support.

Amidst the crowds that consisted of leaders and friends, Najib was touched to see people he never knew who were there physically just to show solidarity.

UMNO Youth Chief, Dr. Akmal Saleh, was also present.

“So many people were there, and they were the people who missed the previous government and leadership. These are true friends. At times like this, what else is there to say other than gratitude?”

Earlier, the High Court found all charges against Najib Razak valid, and the latter was ordered to enter defense. Najib is facing 21 money laundering charges for allegedly committing the offences at the same bank between March 22, 2013, and August 30, 2013.
