It’s just frozen water, right? How dangerous can eating snow be?
Taking to TikTok, a netizen recently shared how much he suffered after posting a video of him eating snow.
After saying that it tastes like ice, in the video caption, he wrote, “This is one of the reasons why I suffered from the flu and body aches throughout my whole trip in Japan.”
In the video, he also warned others against eating snow and to be cautious.
According to health experts, eating snow is not what you want to do when visiting overseas.
In The Washington Post: “Snow can soak up pollutant on the way down. The first hour or two of a snowfall acts like a scrub brush for the air.”
“Snow can contain weird stuff like pesticides, soot, mercury and formaldehyde.”
