Khairul Aming (KA) has been dedicating his time and efforts over the past few days to assist flood victims in Kelantan by actively distributing food, water, and other essentials.
While he’s still hard at work, he recently went live on TikTok to share with his followers an unexpected challenge he faced that left him disturbed and frustrated.
“Please don’t send items like this”
A TikTok user reshared the live broadcast showing KA getting frustrated after checking the donations sent by people who wanted to help the flood victims.
He called out donors after receiving some items in poor conditions for the victims. He showed piles of dirty clothes covered with cockroach eggs, mould, and even rat urine.
“We received dirty clothes filled with cockroach eggs, mould, and rat urine. Some clothes even had rat bites. Please don’t send items like this,” he stressed.
“I don’t want any safety issues”
KA made it clear that contaminated clothing can be a serious health risk, especially for kids, as it could lead to skin issues or even poisoning.
He went on to ask people not to treat aid collection points like trash dumps, stressing that these places are meant for genuine donations, not for getting rid of unwanted items.
To add salt to the wound, he then showed a diaper covered with mould. He took that moment to remind donors to always double-check their items before donating, stressing how important it is to make sure everything is in good condition for those in need.
“The flood victims are currently in distress. Don’t make this a place to throw trash. This is dangerous, so don’t take it lightly. We had to filter all the clothes one by one. I don’t want any safety issues.”
