He wrote, “Should I just move to Malaysia? Because the cost of living seems same as Jakarta but there are more opportunities there.”

He also asked netizens about the procedures for freelancers and digital nomads to move to Malaysia.

Many Indonesian netizens claimed Malaysia is better

Many Indonesian netizens encouraged him to seek greener pastures in Malaysia, with some even sharing their own experiences here.

“EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!!!!! I just came back from KL. With a living cost that is almost the same (as Indonesia), you can get a better quality of life there. And I got testimonials from Indonesians who have been there and they don’t want to go back.”

“Just move (to Malaysia), brother. There’s no hope in Indonesia anymore.”

“Just move, brother, it’s better here (in Malaysia). I’ve been working here for 2 years and if possible, I really don’t want to go back. Living in Indonesia has become very suffocating.”

“Come here, it’s quieter here for everyone.”
