PDRM summoned Dr Akmal Saleh for a statement last night (August 15), and the UMNO Youth Chief willingly complied.
With his “no fear, no surrender” motto, Akmal demonstrated to Malaysians that, despite being instructed by PDRM to report to the police station, he was more than willing to do so if “this was the price to preserve the dignity of Malaysia,” as he stated in his video.
“If this is the price I have to pay, it’s alright. I will fight till the end. Thank you.”

At 11 pm, Akmal arrived at the Dang Wangi Police Station to give his statement, accompanied by UMNO members who came to show their support. After the session, Akmal stood firm in his stance, reaffirming his commitment to defending the Malaysian flag.
“At the end of times, those on the right path are insulted, while those who do wrong are respected.”
In a Facebook post, Akmal emphasised that he would not retreat, not even slightly, for the sake of his religion, race, and country.

On Thursday (August 14), Akmal defied expectations and visited the now-viral hardware store in Penang for a Jalur Gemilang rally, despite PDRM’s advice against it.
The rally proceeded smoothly, although there was a minor provocation when Lawyers for Liberty (LFL) held placards likening Akmal’s actions to those of Zionists and bullies.
Akmal also stated that he is not afraid of threats or pressure from other parties.
