A restaurant run by a Pakistani man was raided by the Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department (JIM) after it was found that he was operating it using his wife’s permit, in addition to employing foreigners as workers.
According to a report by Kosmo, the restaurant owner admitted this when being questioned by the authorities. It is understood that the man, in his 30s, has been living in Malaysia for 10 years and is married to a local woman.

The authorities then detained the man, causing the situation to become chaotic as the man started crying and shouting.
DBKL was also involved
During the raid, items in the restaurant, including chairs, tables, cooking utensils and kitchen cabinets, were seized by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for further action.
“I have to pay RM70,000 for all of these items. I am looking for Halal sustenance for my wife and children. I want to die! I am not a criminal!” the man cried out.
The man was among 11 foreigners arrested in Op Selera, which was carried out at about 11:30pm yesterday (July 27). Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff shared that the arrests involved 9 men and 2 women.
He added that as many as 100 foreigners suspected of being illegal immigrants (PATI) were also arrested through OP Kutip around Bukit Bintang.
