Last month, the mother of a 17-year-old girl lodged a police report against a popular Malaysian singer and actor who was accused of sexually assaulting the underage girl.
The said celebrity, Naim Daniel pleaded NOT guilty at court today (June 17).

The 28-year-old singer told the media at the Putrajaya Court that he is committed to clearing his name and refused to elaborate further on the matter. Daniel, who appeared calm throughout the session, said,
“I faced a heavy accusation. I understand some people have a lot of questions on their minds.”
“For now, I do not want to speak further about this matter, which is still in the early stage. I don’t want to do anything that may interfere with my upcoming trial. I want to clear my name, please pray for me,” reported Berita Harian.

When asked about his next step, Daniel, who recently appeared in the local action flick Keluang Man, said that he merely wanted to focus on his life, and at the moment, he has nothing to complain about.
His passport has been confiscated
According to Naim, who was released on RM12,000 bail, he is currently in talks with his management team. Despite his release, Naim was ordered to surrender his passport to the Court, as reported by Harian Metro.
Naim is also known for his role in another local movie, Project: High Council, which was released this year.
Last month, Naim was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in a hotel room in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, where they met for the first time.
