If you were to make a rough estimate of the worth of your current outfit, how much would it be? A 22-year-old Malaysian student recently revealed that his outfit was worth nearly RM900,000!
In a recent street interview at a KL mall conducted by Malaysian content creator @samwongsx, he asked 2 passersby about the prices of their outfits. After careful calculation, the 22-year-old Malaysian student revealed the actual price of his outfit.
It was worth RM898,200!
The image below refers to all the luxury brands and items that the student was wearing on that day.
In the video, Sam himself was surprised and astonished at the figure, and said this was the MOST expensive outfit he had ever seen in a street interview.
In case you’re wondering how a student could afford all these, the interviewee said despite being in college, he is also working as a sales clerk while running his own business. He also shared a little about his preferences in fashion.
“I am not a fan of big logo designs. I prefer simple and low-key designs, which are easier to match.”
Social media users, on the other hand, did not buy his story. Some of them believed that everything that he wore in the video was nothing but counterfeit items.
“The bag was only around RM1,000 and the Dior was only RM238. You can see more on my Instagram.”
“Please, know your limits when you’re bragging. You might as well say your outfit costs a million ringgit.”
“This video has proven that vibes are important, or you’ll end up wearing luxury items but still looking like something from the night market.”
“Street interviews are not merely content but serve a greater purpose”
In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Sam confirmed that the student was wearing legitimate items and not fake as claimed by some social media users. He also showed Sam his receipts of purchase.
“Yet, people online choose to believe random comments by strangers,” Sam told WORLD OF BUZZ.
Sam also reminded others to mind their own business and it doesn’t matter if the people are spending their own money, or their parents’.
“People are constantly improving, so others should stop being mean on the internet. Allow people to express themselves freely.”
Sam added that as a streetwear fashion lover, he started this street interview as an insight to show how people dress up and how much they are willing to spend on clothing.
