A starving Malaysian concertgoer had no choice but to pay a little extra for his snack before the show started.

In his viral TikTok post @airieysayuti20, the man revealed that he allegedly paid RM5 for just 2 pieces of heart-shaped nuggets, and his friend had to pay the same amount for just 6 pieces of potato wedges.

That’s RM2.50 for 1 piece of nugget.

“I bought it because I was hungry,” Airiey remarked.

Despite the prices, other concertgoers were seen queueing for a quick snack before Dua Lipa’s show started in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.

There were other stalls in the Arena

In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Airiey said there were stalls that sold beverages and popcorn inside the Axiata Arena. There was even a Coffee Bean for those who wanted to get coffee.

“There were other stalls outside the stadium too but we were not allowed to bring the food in. This is probably why many concertgoers had to buy the snacks that were sold inside the stadium.”

Airiey also clarified that his snacks were originally served with sauces but he did not take the condiments because he wanted the nuggets on their own.

“I had to buy the snacks inside the stadium because I was already starving and my friend was late. The concert also almost started when we got the snacks.”

He also jokingly said that the nuggets probably cost only RM2 and the container itself cost RM3.

How much are you willing to pay for a simple snack if you’re starving? To the concertgoers, what was the most expensive snack that you had spent on during the show?
