According to Chinapress, on May 13 around 8.30am, the police received a report that there was a burglary of 90,000 yuan (approx. RM56,510) and a rape case that took place based on some CCTV footage that the husband saw. Alarmed, they mobilised a large police force to the crime scene to investigate. However, upon further investigation, the police started suspecting that something was not right.
The police said, “First of all, the timing of the incident is around 5am where there are already a lot of pedestrians around. And after we have checked the CCTV footage, we found that the ‘robber’ was not holding or carrying any packages; 90,000 yuan (approx. RM56,510) would make quite a large bundle and it should be visible.”

That’s when they decided to separate the wife and husband for interrogation. Sure enough, once separated, the 27-year-old woman broke down and confessed to the police that the man was actually her lover. They had known each other through WeChat over a year ago and this was not the first time that he went over to her home.
This time, they were busted because the husband had installed CCTVs around the home, which was connected to his phone. Perhaps his wife was unaware of the CCTVs? He had left the house around 4.30am when he saw a strange man entering his home. He immediately turned his car around to head home, where the whole journey took less than half an hour.

Upon arrival, he saw the strange man and in a panic, started throwing things at him, which caused the man to flee from the scene. Afraid that she would be found out, his wife concocted a story and said that she did not know the man, and claimed he was a robber. She even said he had stolen 90,000 yuan (approx. RM56,51o) and raped her. Oh, what a tangled web she starts to weave when she begins to deceive!

But what she didn’t expect was her husband making a police report and the police’s quick actions in investigating the case. Having no choice, she confessed everything to the police when they interrogated her separately. The police then decided to put her in detention for 10 days as punishment.
