As roadblocks across the nation are lifted and highways are now resuming operations for travellers to make interstate journeys, it is worth remembering that we should all be mindful while making our journeys to our respective destinations. After all, even our Health Director-General has raised concerns about the possible rise of road accidents after highways reopen.
And it would appear that his concerns are not misplaced after a horrifying accident was found to have happened earlier today at the Setia Alam toll plaza, according to Facebook group Friends of Setia Alam.
The accident, which involved two vehicles, a Proton Persona and a Honda HR-V, was so severe that it completely crushed the front of the Proton, while the Honda was found totalled and flipped onto its roof under the toll plaza.
The circumstances behind how the accident happened remain unclear as of writing, and the condition of the drivers and their passengers are unclear at this point in time.
So if you and your family are planning on that long overdue trip, please be sure to drive carefully and always ensure that you are not dozing off or distracted while driving! The consequences can be disastrous!
