It is definitely not easy to maintain a romantic relationship with your partner, especially if you’ve been together for more than 10 years! Couples who date from their secondary school days until they’re officially working adults must work hard for their relationships as time could change both of your aspirations, desires as well as mindsets. Therefore, maintaining the same path over the years actually requires a lot of understanding and effort from both parties.
Recently, a netizen named Melanie Lim published a Facebook post that attached several images of her and her husband, from their secondary schooling days up until their current life in marriage. True love really does exist!
She also announced that she is pregnant in the post, and their family is excited to welcome their new family member!
Melanie said she got together with her husband when she was just 15-years-old, and they got married when she was 25-years-old.
Melanie wrote,
“It has proven that 15-year-old love isn’t just about rebellion, it is just about meeting the right person in an earlier stage of life.”
“Happy 12th anniversary, Mr Ouyang! *inserted love emoji”
Melanie told WORLD OF BUZZ that she and her husband both studied at SMK Taman Connaught. The first picture they took was when they were still wearing school uniforms in Form 4 and she was 16-years-old while her husband was 17-years-old. Despite the one-year age difference, they ended up in the same class as her husband had to retake a few prepatory classes. (This is what we called meant to be…)
Melanie also told WOLRD OF BUZZ that the reason why they decided to wear their school uniform during marriage registration was that they both wanted to recall the memories that brought them together during their secondary school days. It is definitely one of the most precious memories for them.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to find your Mr Right in the near future, just like Melanie! Let us know your thoughts on this story in the comment section!
