Hennessy sets the tempo for the festive season with a celebration night to spotlight its original Chinese New Year single and music video, Raise for Luck! (好運乾一杯!). Held at the iconic Rex KL, the event brought together media friends, trade partners, and cultural tastemakers for a vibrant evening that blended heritage, music, and dance with immersive storytelling.

An evening of interactive moments

Music Video Talents At The Mahjong Photowall

Guests were greeted by a curated series of interactive experiences mirroring Hennessy’s latest campaign. These include a dedicated Hennessy bar, complemented by a nostalgic chuen hup grazing table that offered a sensory bridge between past and present.

Nearby, a specially designed photowall brought the aesthetics of the Raise for Luck! (好運乾一杯!) music video to life, inviting guests to step directly into the story. Guests also gravitated towards the Prosperity Bottle Wishing Tree — a luminous silhouette of the Hennessy X.O bottle reimagined as a modern-day wishing tree.

This interactive installation served as a gateway to Hennessy’s nationwide “Scratch and Win” campaign, where guests discovered their fortunes and learned how to stand a chance to win a 50g gold bar. Click here to learn more.

Live performances and the music video unveiling

Drum Performance

The evening opened with a playful mahjong-inspired icebreaker, amping up the energy and setting the tone for the dynamic programme that followed. A powerful drum performance and a captivating shadow dance built anticipation for the night’s main highlight: a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Raise for Luck! (好運乾一杯!) music video.

The lead stars of the music video, Chang Yong, Shu Sen, Jeryl Lee, DJ Blink, Zhen Ning, and Victoria Ng, later surprised guests with their first-ever group live performance of the song and dance, transforming the launch into a high-energy celebration of music, movement, and collective joy.

During her speech, Marketing Director of Moët Hennessy Southeast Asia, Laura Drozdowski Lot, highlighted Hennessy’s deep commitment to music, culture, and connection.

“For over 250 years, the Maison has been dedicated to crafting more than exceptional cognac. It has been about honouring heritage while evolving with each new generation. What we experienced tonight, from the performances to our original Chinese New Year music video, captures this very spirit while reflecting what the festive season is about: connection, celebration, and togetherness. At Hennessy, we believe that music and dance have a unique power to unite. Through this music video, we aim to inspire a shared rhythm that bridges generations and continues our commitment to uplifting local talent,” she said.

A toast to prosperity and local flavours

Lou Hei Toss

The celebration continued with a lively Lou Hei toss, where guests gathered in a collective chorus of auspicious wishes for the year ahead. The evening was thoughtfully complemented by a selection of Hennessy favourites and bespoke cocktails.

Hennessy Apple Popcorn Cocktail By Hennessy Myway 2025 National Champion Oh Chong Hau

Highlights included Henny Tea and Hennessy Apple Popcorn, expertly crafted cocktails by Hennessy MyWay 2025 National Champion, Oh Chong Hau from The Nest Cocktail Bar. Inspired by local flavour profiles, each bespoke cocktail balanced tradition with innovation in every sip.

Closing the night on a high note

DJ Tchuno then fueled the dance floor with a high-energy set as guests mingled and danced the night away. More than a celebration, the event positioned Raise for Luck! (好運乾一杯!) as a cultural moment that captures the rhythm of reunion, inviting everyone to raise a glass to luck, prosperity, and a brighter year ahead.
