Health D-G: 260 New Covid-19 Positive Cases Today, 47 Recovered & No Deaths (1 October 2020)

As of today (1 October 2020), there are 260 new positive Covid-19 cases, 47 recovered cases and no deaths in Malaysia as reported by Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. The total number of confirmed cases has increased to 11,484 cases.

Out of the 260 cases, there is only one imported case and the rest are local transmissions.

Sabah remains the state with the highest number of Covid-19 cases which are 118 new cases today, followed by 98 new cases in Kedah.

There are 14 cases in Kuala Lumpur, 13 cases in Selangor, 5 cases in Putrajaya and 5 cases in Johor as reported by the Health Director-General. All states except Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak, Perak, Kelantan and Labuan, have new Covid-19 cases today.

There is no addition of death cases today, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Malaysia remains at 136.
