Although occurrences are rare, it does snow in Malaysia. Well, snow may be a bit of an overkill, but it does hailstorm in Malaysia.
For those who do not know what a hailstorm is, hailstorms are formed when hailstones that originate from raindrops are carried upwards by thunderstorm updrafts into extremely cold areas of the atmosphere and freeze.
Hence, ice falls down along with rain. The phenomenon which took place in Subang Jaya, was caught on video, giving you a rare glimpse of ‘snow’ in Malaysia.
