Lending a hand goes farther than you actually think!
We’ve seen so many instances of Malaysians offering a helpful hand to those in need after the tough times that many flood victims have had to go through this past week.
Similarly, a video has gone viral on Twitter, as it featured a heartwarming response from a flood victim, after volunteers had stopped by her house to help clean up the aftermath of the flood.
The video which was posted by Twitter user @e_pull, was posted in hopes that it would spread awareness and motivate people to volunteer more.
The tweet detailed his experience in helping the flood victim from Batu 23, Hulu Langat, Selangor.
According to him, they happened to stumble upon this makcik’s house whilst heading their way towards Batu 19, Hulu Langat.
After stopping by and asking if there is anything they could help with, the makcik asked if they could help clean her house in which they proceeded to do so.
Grateful for all of their help, the makcik burst into tears once the volunteers were leaving.
The condition of the house was a total mess in the beginning!
The Twitter user also inserted pictures of the original condition of the house in his tweet.
With items and mud covering the floor of the entire house, it took him and his whole team quite some time to clean.
It took even more time as there was little to nothing coming out from their water source, which made it even harder to get rid of the mud.
One Twitter user left a reply saying that they also went to the same makcik’s house.
“This makcik’s house was indeed challenging. The mud was on another level.”
The user described how it took them a whole day to help clean the house, and that it wasn’t even properly finished!
After a lot of help and hard work, the makcik’s house was finally clean. Despite not having much time to finish everything, @e_pull and his team did a great job!
