They say that kids learn habits from watching their parents, and if that is true, these kids must have amazing parents.
Two grade 1 children from SK Sungai Kapit, Sarawak, are being praised for their efforts in helping their friend use the washroom, as shared by a teacher.
The teacher, Sylvester Ronny Pulene, took to his Facebook page to share the sweet moment he had witnessed. He was walking past the washrooms when he noticed the two students helping their friend with his belt so that he can use the toilet and also helping him tuck in his shirt once he was done!
Sylvester wrote, “The meaning of friendship. After break time, while heading to class, I bumped into these 3 friends (1st year students). 2 of his friends were helping him to unbuckle his belt because he needed to urinate.”
“This student, J, is indeed special. He is a former student of mine from preschool. He still doesn’t know how to take care of himself. Even in year 1, he still uses pampers. But maybe today, he didn’t use pampers. His speech is not very clear (a bit slow). But, what makes me proud is that he has many friends in the class who care enough about him.”
J has such good friends that many of them are willing to go out of their way just to help him!
“In fact, sometimes his friends are willing to help him stand in line to get the supplementary food (RMT) meal for him at the school canteen. He is also a very friendly person even though he is a bit different from the other students. In short, his classmates all pay attention to him even though they are still 7-years-old,”
“It was his friends who helped him unbuckle his belt and also rearranged his clothes when he was ready. After that, they held his hand and lead him back to class happily,” Sylvester added.
We genuinely need more kids like this in the world, so that their sense of humanity can be constantly exemplified.
Kudos, kids and their parents for raising them so well! Now these are future leaders, right here.
Stay tuned for more updates.
