The ‘Kampung’ styled tiny home even includes an address!
Most of us love our feline and canine friends. And sometimes, we wish we could do more for the strays around our residential area. But perhaps we can learn something from this kind stranger, who built a house for stray cats.
In a video posted yesterday, 15 August, TikTok user Pamella Lim showed off a black and white stray cat sitting comfortably in its tiny ‘kampung’ styled house in the SS18 area of Subang Jaya.

The video which was captioned “Never a dull day in Subang Jaya” shows off the house which consists of multiple windows and a roof.
The small house is even complete with its own address which was scribbled on the side of the house.
The daughter of the man who built the tiny house recently commented on Pamella’s video. In a response to Pamella’s question of who built the home, Hara Rashid said, “My dad, and the wood is recycled from my neighbors. A team effort. The cats used to stay in a polystyrene box with a broken umbrella.”
Hara has also posted a video on her TikTok giving netizens more information about the cats and the process of building the ‘Kampung’ home.
According to the video, the home was meant to be shared between two cats, Jaacob (the black cat) and Luffy (the orange and white cat) and was built by her father with the help of their neighbours who donated recycled wood and paint.
She also showed snaps of Luffy’s old home which was made up of a broken umbrella and a polystyrene box.
Netizens were delighted to see that the home had an address as it meant that people were able to visit the cat’s residence and bring food for it.
One user said, “They should also put a postbox in case someone would like to post some wet food to it.”
“Complete with an address. Would be easy for delivery provider J&T Express to find,” said another.
Whilst another said, “makes it easy for the cat to accept parcels of cat food. Lucky cat, you have your own house.”
Some netizens expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the person who built the house. One user said, “Hope that God will offer the builder an abundance of good fortune for building the house.”
Another said that it is a good idea and that there should be more like it.
