On our morning commutes, we see lots of people from different walks of life. However, it’s not every day that you see a doggo on the LRT!
On the 13th of August, a video surfaced on Facebook showing a dog that got into the LRT in the morning at the Miharja Station in Kuala Lumpur.
Here’s the video!
Malaysia Baru, Anjing pun naik LRT

At about 7pm, Rapid KL put out a media release to give the people more insight on the situation and how they handled it. *Spoiler alert* They handled it well!
Rapid KL said “LRT Miharja Station is an at-grade station, which means it could potentially be accessed by strays and other animals.” So, at-grade means that the station is at ground-level!
Their Auxiliary Police (AP) personnel actually spotted the dog when it entered the platform, but before they could remove it from the station, the dog managed to run into the LRT which arrived at that station at 8.24am.
The personnel went into the LRT and observed it the whole time. As it did not show any signs of aggressiveness, the personnel then got the stray out at LRT Pandan Jaya, which is another at-grade station, at 8.29am.
“It was then captured humanely and released at a location that is within a safe distance of our LRT stations.”
They thanked their passengers for remaining calm and collected when the incident took place. They would also like to apologise, and assured us that they will increase their vigilance and patrol of all their at-grade stations to ensure such incidences do not recur in the future.
Kudos to the personnel for handling it well! We hope that the doggo was not late for whatever it wanted to do at Pandan Indah!
