There are lots of stories about housemates from hell and this recent report from South Korea certainly makes it into the list. Just because of a few negative comments posted on social media, a 21-year-old girl identified as Kim gave her 26-year-old roommate severe burns by pouring boiling hot ramen on her face. OMG, so painful!

Korea Herald reported that on October 24, Goo was brutally attacked by Kim after she discovered that Goo had allegedly made malicious comments about her on social media. Kim was enraged when she saw the comments and burst into Goo’s room to pour the ramen from a boiling pot on Goo.
As Goo was screaming in pain, Kim started to threaten her with a weapon by swinging it towards her face and legs while saying that she would cut off Goo’s Achilles tendons. Oddly specific but gruesome! Goo was imprisoned in her room for an hour while the attack lasted.

She finally managed to escape from her room and sought help from one of her neighbours while badly hurt. She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors said that she sustained serious burns to her face and leg.
Goo, who was preparing for her impending wedding, now has to undergo treatments for at least a year. In the worst case scenario, she might even have to undergo a skin transplant. Poor girl, which means she has to postpone her wedding too!

However, after the attack, Kim even had the nerve to send curse messages to Goo and pretended to be a victim. Allkpop reported that Goo’s boyfriend said, “The attacker came to the hospital on the day of the incident and claimed she, too, is a victim. She even sent curse messages to my girlfriend the next day.”
At first, the police investigated the case as mutual assault as they only had Kim’s side of the story because the victim was “unable to speak”. They even told both women that they should reconcile and said that both of them were at fault. She was not detained but when the police suffered severe backlash from netizens, they filed an arrest warrant for Kim.

Well, we certainly hope we never get roommates like that. We wish Goo a speedy recovery in time for her wedding!
